The Bianconeri Name Former Azzurri Boss Luciano Spalletti

The Old Lady have named previous Italy manager Spalletti to lead the team for the remainder of the campaign.

The experienced coach steps in for his predecessor, who was sacked after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.

The former boss came on board in March filling the shoes of Thiago Motta but left after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.

Spalletti led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup under former boss Roberto Mancini.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, with the Azzurri at risk of missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.

Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.

Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese moving them to seventh position in the league - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
