I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
